JORDAN FYVIE (Wendla) is so grateful to be a part of this production of Spring Awakening, and is thrilled to be playing Wendla. She is currently a senior musical theater major at Russell Sage College and will graduate in December. Some favorite credits include The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Willy Wonka: The Musical, Hairspray, and Guys & Dolls. She would like to thank OOPS for giving her this opportunity as well her family and friends for all their love and support! Special shout outs to Brad and Smoosh!
KEENON MCCOLLUM (Melchior) is beyond thrilled to be a part of Spring Awakening! He is a senior at Ballston Spa High School and participates in many theatre companies in the area. He was last seen as Rolf in The Sound of Music (SLOC), and Angel in RENT: School Edition (C-R Productions). Keenon has also appeared as Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ballston Spa High School Troupe) and also the Cat in the Hat in Seussical: The Musical Jr. (Ballston Spa High School Troupe). Other credits include: Agwe in Once On This Island (C-R Productions), Kyle in Legally Blonde: The Musical (C-R Productions), and Curly in Oklahoma! (Saratoga Children’s Theater). Additional credits include: Grantaire/ Bamatabrois/Ensemble in Les Misérables: Student Edition (C-R Productions), Fender in Hairspray (SLOC), and Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof (Saratoga Children’s Theater). Keenon hopes to continue on with musical theatre in college, as well as cosmetology. He would like to thank his friends and family for dealing with him during tech week, and supporting him in all his endeavors. He dedicates his performances to his late vocal coach. LEILA ASHLEY VIERA (Ilse) is thrilled to be making her debut with Our Own ProductionS. Her favorite roles include In the Heights (CR Productions), Dynamite 2/Dance Captain in Hairspray (SLOC), Bet in Oliver (AHS) and Bird Girl in Seussical (AHS). Leila is a 2012 graduate of the RPI School of Management. Following this show, Leila is looking forward to moving to beginning graduate school for Arts Administration. Much love to the Spring Awakening cast and crew for an amazing production and endless nights of laughter. Leila would like to thank her incredible parents, family, friends and boyfriend for their continuous love and support!
NICK MUSCATIELLO (Moritz) is making his second appearance with Our Own ProductionS in Spring Awakening. Recent roles include Brian Finnegan in Finnegan’s Farewell (Proctors), Feste in Twelfth Night (ACT), Joe Cocker (Sixties Rock Experience), and Ensemble in RENT (OOPS at The Egg, Swyer Theater). Nick is a former member of the Mop & Bucket Improv Company. He would like to dedicate his performance to the memory of victims of youth suicide.
BRITTANY GLENN (Thea, Wendla u/s) is honored to be a part of Our Own ProductionS’ Spring Awakening. Favorite roles include Jolene Oakes in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (SLOC), Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show (College Theatre Association), and Mimi Marquez in RENT (Essex Theatre Company). Love and thank you to my wonderful friends and family, and of course the creative team and my cast-mates.
NIK GATZENDORFER (Hanschen, Moritz u/s, Male Dance Captain) is honored to be returning to Our Own ProductionS in this incredible musical and to be a part of such a talented cast. He last performed with OOPS in the comedic musical Altar Boyz portraying the role of Mark. Most recently you may have seen him in the Off-Broadway production of Finnegan’s Farewell at Proctors Theatre as Kevin Gilboy. Nik has had the incredible privilege of performing with Broadway’s own George Hearn in South Pacific as well as earning himself an IMDb page for his first movie cameo performance in the horror film Black Hills in the role of Walter. Some of his other most memorable credits include: Joey Vitale/Rick DeMarco in Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Man 1 in Songs For A New World, Link Larkin in Hairspray, Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pepe in West Side Story, Cupid in The Eight Reindeer Monologues, Jack in Into the Woods, Willard in Footloose, Rick/Lorraine in Bat Boy: The Musical, Cobweb in Snow Queen, and Mike TeeVee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. MORGAN PRZEKURAT (Martha) is very excited to be performing with Our Own Productions for the first time. Morgan just graduated from Russell Sage College as a musical theatre major. Past Theatre Institute at Sage credits include The Mystery of Edwin Drood, War of the Worlds, Songs for a New World, Seussical, and Urinetown. She would like to thank her mother, father, and brother for their love and support. She would also like to thank her friends and family for being around in these fast-changing times!
DAVID ALLIGER (Ernst, Melchior u/s) is thrilled to be a part of this production of Spring Awakening. Recent roles include Herr Zeller in The Sound of Music (SLOC) and George in Stop Kiss (SUNY Geneseo’s VEGSoup). David’s theatrical debut was a performance as The Herald in a sixth grade production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. He continued performing throughout high school, playing characters like Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly! and Mr. Applegate in Damn Yankees! After high school, he attended SUNY Geneseo and graduated with a degree in English. While in college, he took a short break from theatre, but he missed it too much and he’s glad to be back, doing what he loves with some truly awesome people.
ELIZA FIGUEROA (Anna) is so proud to be part of this production of Spring Awakening! This is a show that has been on her bucket list since she first saw it and she is so grateful to Matthew Teichner, Matthew Streifert, Gregory Marsh and the entire OOPS production team for this amazing opportunity! Eliza has performed in numerous area venues, and was most recently seen as Natalie in Next to Normal (SLOC). Favorite roles include: Narrator in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (CR- Productions), Sarah in Ragtime (SLOC), Mary Phagan in Parade (Spotlight) u/s Eponine in Les Miserables (SLOC), Lucy in 13 (SLOC); Tootie in Meet Me in St. Louis (Circle Theater), Dynamite in Hairspray (SLOC, SYFI), Rita in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Park Playhouse) and July in Annie (SLOC). DEREK BALMIR (Georg) is excited to be in this production of Spring Awakening, other roles include: Gilbert in Hairspray (Cohoes Music Hall), and the Foreman in Les Miserables (Cohoes Music Hall). Derek is a senior at Shaker High School and will be graduating this summer. He plans to attend medical school and become a plastic surgeon.
MATTHEW SERIANNI (Otto) is very excited to be in this production of Spring Awakening, his first show with OOPS. Other favorite roles include Mark Cohen in RENT, Ensemble in Les Miserables, and Ensemble/Beast/Gaston u/s Beauty and the Beast. Matthew is a Junior at Shenendehowa High School, and enjoys singing in the select choir there, as well as playing several instruments and singing in the local rock group Those Guys.
SUSAN PREISS (Costume Designer; Adult Female) designed Our Own ProductionS’ RENT in 2011, for which she won a TANYS Award for Excellence in Design. Other productions for which she has designed costumes include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Annie (SLOC). Susan has been an actress in the Capital District for many years, playing such roles as Helga in Kindertransport, Crystal in Flesh & Blood, Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, and Ouisa in Six Degrees of Separation, for which she won the Metroland Magazine readers poll award for Best Actress in the Capital Region (2000) (ACT); Marjorie in Tale of the Allergist’s Wife (SCT); Agnes in Bug (Channel Z Productions); and Maria Callas in Master Class (Queen’s Theater); ‘night Mother (Confetti Stage), among many others. She taught acting for the New York State Theater Institute, teaches private students and serves as acting coach on area productions. Susan managed the Spa Little Theatre at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center for 16 years and is now the House Lighting Designer at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park.
TONY PALLONE (Adult Male) has enjoyed a rich history with the Capital Region theater community. His favorite roles include Cladwell in Urinetown (Ghent Playhouse), the title role in Macbeth (Classic Theater Guild; TANYS award), and several summers spent with the outdoor Shakespeare tour (Theater Company at Hubbard Hall). He has also appeared in several independent feature films, served as a teacher with the New York State Theatre Institute, and directed some wild takes on Shakespeare’s classics. He thanks his decade-long experience with Pentimento Playback Theater for helping him to endow characters with real life, and sends love to Mom, Dad, Colleen and Geoffrey.
CHRISTINE MARIE (Ensemble, Female Dance Captain) has been participating in theater around the capital region for over ten years. Her most recent theatrical endeavor was directing Guilderland High School’s production of South Pacific. Her favorite roles include Penny in Hairspray (SLOC), Julia in The Wedding Singer (Class Act Productions), Little Sally in Urinetown (RPI Players), and Jolene Oakes in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Class Act Productions). She has also worked as a character performer in Walt Disney World and has choreographed for various youth theaters in the area (BARC, Guilderland Players, Circus Theatricks).
HANNAH HERNANDEZ (Ensemble, Ilse u/s) is very excited to be making her OOPS debut! Recent productions include South Pacific (Guilderland Players), RENT: School Edition (C-R Kids), Hairspray (Park Playhouse) and Hairspray (SLOC). Hannah is a sophomore at Guilderland High School and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She would like to thank her parents and younger brother for supporting her and the Spring Awakening production team for giving her this wonderful opportunity.
DARYL HIRSHFELD (Ensemble, Ulbrecht) is very happy to be back at The Egg and performing with Our Own ProductionS. He was an ensemble member for OOPS’ award winning 2011 production of RENT, and portrayed Collins in the 2011 production of RENT at SLOC. Other credits include Hairspray (SLOC), Putnam County Spelling Bee (HMT), and Tony & Tina’s Wedding (Proctors). Most recently Daryl played the lead in Spring Awakening at FMCC. I would like to thank my family and God for giving me a dream I can follow and a gift I can share with everyone.
MONICA LEBRON (Ensemble, Anna u/s) is very thrilled to be part of Our Own ProductionS’ Spring Awakening. Other favorite roles include Mimi Marquez in RENT (C-R Kids), Chrystal in Little Shop of Horrors (Line and Cue), and Lucinda in Into the Woods.
RYAN MORAN (Ensemble, Rupert) is thrilled to be part of Spring Awakening! Ryan was seen most recently as Beethoven in Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (Confetti Stage) which was awarded Best Long Production at TANYS festival 2011. When not performing, Ryan is a paramedic and phlebotomist. Ryan would like to thank his family, friends and cast mates for unwavering support and encouragement. Enjoy the show!
DARCY SCHACHER (Ensemble) is extremely excited to be a part of Spring Awakening! She is an acting major at Pace University in NYC, where she just opened the world premiere of Sad Porn (it’s not sad and it doesn’t really have anything to do with porn…) which she will be touring with overseas next year. Some of her favorite credits include Eponine and Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables (C-R Productions, SLOC), Paulette in Legally Blonde (CMH), Asaka in Once On This Island (CMH), Patrice in 13 (SLOC) and Sally Brown in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Ballston Spa High School). Darcy has been dancing for fifteen years, and at age eight she had the honor of appearing with Riverdance in Ireland. In her “spare time” she performs as the lead singer in her parent’s award winning country band, Aged in the Hills, and enjoys practicing her Harry Potter spells while pretending she’s in the Hunger Games.
MADELINE FALCO (Ensemble) is super excited to be in this production of Spring Awakening. Favorite credits include the Jitterbug in The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and ensemble in An Ideal Husband. She studies ballet at the School of the Albany Berkshire Ballet where she has performed in Les Sylphydes, Alice in Wonderland, Aurora’s Wedding and more than four dozen productions of the Nutcracker, among numerous others. She has also studied and performed with the New York City Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Ajkun Ballet Theatre, and Cincinnati Ballet. Madeline is a senior at Averill Park High School and she looks forward to graduating and pursuing a major in Musical Theatre. She would like to thank Norm Eick, Sue Eliashuk, Matthew Teichner and the rest of the cast and crew for giving her this amazing opportunity and her family for all their love and support.
JACOB JAMES (Ensemble, Dieter) has played roles in several productions including Enjolras in Les Miserables and Simon Stride in Jekyll and Hyde. Jacob is currently a voice major in the SCCC School of Music. He plays piano and guitar, and also enjoys various outdoor and indoor activities including football, soccer, fishing, and reading. He is extremely excited to be a part of this awesome production and working with an amazing cast and crew.
CASSIDY HERMAN (Ensemble) is excited to be given the opportunity to be in this production of Spring Awakening. Some of her favorite roles include Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Lucinda Albright in Red Death, and Rizzo in Grease. She wants to thank her parents for the love and support, her sisters for always being her biggest fans, and her future niece who’s first show will be this one!
NOEL SAVOY (Ensemble/Reinhold) is extremely excited to be working with the talented and amazing cast of OOPS’ Spring Awakening. No stranger to the stage, Noel has participated in various roles throughout the years. Favorite productions include Little Shop of Horrors (Mr. Mushnik), Les Miserables (Grantaire), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lysander). Nonetheless, he’d like to give a big “thank you” to anyone and everyone involved in giving him such an awesome opportunity!
MATTHEW DEMBLING (Ensemble) is very excited to join the cast of Spring Awakening for Our Own Productions. He has enjoyed portraying such roles as Old Man Strong/Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown (RPI Players), Matthew in Alter Boyz (Oops), Ensemble in Aida (SLOC), and he was also an ensemble member for OOPS’ award winning 2011 production of RENT.
